100 Words -- History Rhymes

On August 1, 1936, Adolph Hitler opened the Olympic Games in Berlin. The first concentration camp had been operating for a month. It was not quite a year since enactment of the Nuremberg Laws: Jews were stripped of their citizenship and forbidden to marry Aryans or fly the German flag. Kristallnacht was two years away, but a plan was already in motion to isolate the Jews, to declare them a threat to society, and ultimately to eliminate their presence in Europe. Today, the focus is on Muslims in particular and immigrants in general. How will it end this time around?
